Good manufacturing practices ensure that cosmetics and personal care products with approved ingredients are produced under specific hygiene conditions and with proper documentation for all ingredients, processes, sales and packaging.

A Good Manufacturing Practice certificate may be issued by government health authorities, government health authorities or other standards. Most countries prefer that GMP certificates be issued by a trade association such as ACMA.
